Wayne escapes into the tower and its City Museum where he finds a Batman costume. Despite recalling his vow to leave his Batman persona behind after the death of his wife, he decides he has no other choice but to put on the costume one last time and face Jensen. As Batman, he joins the reviving Justice Society in fighting Jensen, eventually making his way to the criminal where they die together as a result of Jensen's terrible power, just as Jensen reveals that Batman is Bruce Wayne.
