Elliott Caplin's memories of his brother, Al Capp. Photo caption states, "[Andy] Amato was Capp's chief assistant for decades. [Walter] Johnson was responsible for mechanical objects, and Harvey Curtis... did lettering and filled-in black areas on the strip. All four worked on the storyline, with Capp being the final arbiter of the plot."
