While escorting Princess Zosara to her wedding with Kujula, the Turanians are attacked. Only Zosara, Conan and Juma survive the attack, and they are taken as prisoners to Shamballah. Conan and Juma are sentenced to be galley slaves there but escape. They rescue Zosara and escort her the rest of the way to Khan Kujula.
