But when Franky and Johnny steal some fireworks from Spats Katz under orders from Carmine Carbone, Johnny is beaten and Candi is taken prisoner. When Johnny and Plato try to rescue her, she sides with her kidnapper, Spats Katz.

Synopsis: Pop artist Andy Savannah is being forced by Fanman to create paintings based on panels from the comic book, Hoodlum Hit. When Andy's projector breaks, Fanman's goons, Cookie and The Zoo, force the original artist, Bernard Novak, to assist Andy in creating new paintings. Greyshirt is captured by Cookie and The Zoo and is taken to Andy's studio. Greyshirt is able to overpower the two goons, but Andy is killed by a stray shot from Cookie's gun.

And second by Lips Lafayette, who sold him out to the police so he could be safe in jail.

Synopsis: Franky overpowers Chucky in the Purple Comics building and learns that Johnny is trying to kill him. Johnny catches up to Franky at the Pow! Art exhibit at the Lakeland Museum of Contemporary Art and demands to know where the Katz's sapphires are. Candi and Katz's crew burst in on them, but they escape and agree to meet up that evening at Indigo Central Station. Later Franky blows up Central Station while he and Johnny are inside. The police think they are both dead, but Franky is saved by a homeless man and Johnny is saved by the Lure.

Synopsis: Hours before her intended execution, Candi calls Greyshirt and Plutarch to the prison to tell them that Johnny's connection to the Lure has kept him alive since the explosion in Central Station and that he is the Fanman behind Fanman Productions. Greyshirt realizes that Fanman has captured Lips, Carmine, and Catherine and is holding them in the mines. Greyshirt rescues them and is able to trick the Lure into eating Fanman, thereby killing the Lure as well.
