Challengers of the Unknown
Challengers of the Unknown [Ace Morgan; Rocky Davis; Red Ryan]; Harold Moffet; unnamed mad bomber; unnamed space creature; lawyers; reporters; Superman (cameo); mysterious woman
Ace, Red, and Rocky stand trial and may get the death penalty. The guys’ lawyer wants to blame Prof for the explosion, since he’s dead. The prosecutor smears and ridicules the Challengers’ fantastic adventures. The defense praises their good deeds. Then Superman walks in and testifies the Challengers are heroes. The guys are found not guilty, but must pay for damages and disband. Ace calls a press conference to announce the Challengers have split up to pursue their own lives. In a crappy hotel, the mad bomber chuckles. In Venice, a mysterious woman heads for the USA.
