Synopsis:
With the world in chaos (thanks in part to the deaths of Professor X, Cyclops and Jean Grey at the hands of Cable last issue), Magneto unites a horde of mutants under his control and fights earth's heroes in his bid to take over the country. He wins, but the president activates an army of Sentinels as he is forced out of office. The Sentinels slowly take over and are finally able to destroy Magneto and his forces with a nuke. With the US now a Sentinel police state, Wolverine breaks a small group of mutants out of prison and reforms the X-Men.
