Synopsis: At London's exclusive St. Paul's Club Prof. Carter tells Jimmy Gray how Mr. Midnight stole his deadly germs so "the world will be mine". Limpy Olsen investigates, then the Lord Mayor gets a demand for one million in gold. The Shadow recovers the germs, then seeks out Mr. Midnight.

Many panels in this issue seem to have been re-worked. The indexer believes that the story first appeared in Frew's landscape formatted first series of The Shadow. 3. The Shadow mistakes an auto-gyro for a helicopter. So does the narrator.
