Wikipedia article on Garth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garth_(comic_strip)) refers to this episode story line as "The Wolf Man of Ausensee". However, there are no dates or number of strips listed for each episode, so there is no way currently to pin down the original dates of publication. However, most of the strips in this issue that were originally published in England tend to be from the late 1960's. That would be consistent with the hairstyles of the characters in these strips.

These strips do not have dates, but have job serial numbers in each strip (1746-1751). From the Modesty Blaise Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modesty_Blaise), that places this sequence in the storyline for 'The Red Gryphon' (serial numbers 1689-1794 running from November 18, 1968 through March 22, 1969). Working from the start date of the storyline and using the English calendar for those years (and accounting for the fact that there was a 1720A strip in this storyline on Christmas Day, December 25, 1968), the strips published here would have been originally published from January 24-30, 1969.

The fifth and sixth strips are reversed from the story order flow, but this is probably due to a labeling mistake by Mortimer since it is the only way to account for the sequence aligning on a daily schedule.

Reference information printed for this story lists it as 'circa early '60s'. Four of the strips are signed and dated by Mortimer, but due to cropping only two of the dates are visible. The third and sixth strips are dated 11-15 and 11-18, respectively. The only year in the early 1960's where these dates would have aligned with a daily schedule would have been 1961.

These strips do not have dates, but have job serial numbers in each strip (2833-2838). From the ERBzine's List of Daily Tarzan Comic Strips (http://www.erbzine.com/mag22/2293.html), that places this sequence in the storyline for 'Tarzan and the Fires of Kohr' (serial numbers 2833-2892 running through November 20, 1948). The start date for the storyline is not referenced, but we know there were 60 strips in the story. Reference information included with the strip:

Episode 2 Series 28 "The Million Dollar Facelift" 1-7

There is no year referenced for this strip. However, from the Wikipedia article on Air Hawk and the Flying Doctors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Hawk_and_the_Flying_Doctors), we know that Hart Amos worked on this strip from March 1970 - June 1977). Assuming the '1-7' reference is actually a shorthand for January 7th, the only year in the Amos tenure where a Sunday fell on January 7th was 1973.
