This advertisement is ultimately based on page 1 of "Bus-Ride to Nowhere" in Action Comics (DC, 1938 series) 430, December 1973. However, the image as used comes from the cover of Superman (K. G. Murray, 1977 series) 2. This suggests that Federal acquired K. G. Murray's back catalogue archives when they took over reprinting DC comics in Australia. This version of the advertisement has the "Federal Comics FC" logo; other versions exist with later Federal branding.
