The cover does not illustrate a scene from "Love Tames the Tiger." It is perhaps related to the story "Love Me, Love My Job!"--which does feature Spike Jones--but neither of the drawn characters resembles they way they look inside the comic.

Kathy leaves Corwin Falls, Idaho, and becomes a popular actress on the Spike Jones television show. Her hometown boyfriend Tom visits her but feels out of place. They break up. The next night, Kathy attends a party with co-worker Ben, and he gets fresh with her. Tom appears and punches Ben. Kathy agrees to return to Idaho and marry Tom. Spike Jones and Ben set up the whole thing, although Ben didn’t count on getting a black eye from Tom.

Elizabeth Traynor; Mrs. Traynor; Captain Tom Norton
In England, Elizabeth falls in love with boarder Tom, a visiting American Air Force officer. However, Elizabeth’s father was an R.A.F. pilot killed during the war and Elizabeth fears Tom’s work as a test pilot will also prove fatal. When he won’t change his mind, she tries to trick him into missing a flight, but he finds out and they break up. Tom’s plane crashes and he contracts amnesia. The doctors use her to bring him back to normal. He’s also grounded from flying, so everyone is happy.
