Paul von Emmelman comes to America to claim an $8 million inheritance, and from the time he shows up, mysterious things begin to occur that could have taken his life. He meets Rickie at a model airplane show and is attracted to him because of a German plane model he has. The two leave the show and are immediately accosted by crooks wanting to hold him for ransom. The Heap happens by and sees the "family" ring on the Count's hand and takes on the crooks.
