Mr. Wilson (an alias, Chuck's father, villain, introduction, death); Wilson's gang of pirates
25 years prior, Chuck's father was lost at sea. Chuck shows Blackhawk his late mother's locket, which contains a picture of his parents. He has been searching a group of uninhabited islands in the area where his father disappeared. Blackhawk joins Chuck on his next search. When they land on one island, they are captured by a group of pirates led my a man named Mr. Wilson. Wilson finds the locket and realizes that Chuck is his son. Before Wilson can act, he is stabbed by one of his gang. As he lay dying, Wilson confesses his secret to Blackhawk. Blackhawk decides to hide the truth from Chuck.

Chuck's mother is revealed to have died before this story.

Due to the events of this story, some fan sites suggest that Chuck's last name may be Wilson, however "Mr. Wilson" is clearly an alias. Chuck doesn't recognize his father's face because he has grown a beard and is 25 years older. If Chuck's last name was indeed "Wilson", he surely would have wondered if this Mr. Wilson was the father who he expected to find in this area. In addition, when Blackhawk drops the locket in the ocean, he says "Someday he might see the resemblance between his father and the man who CALLED HIMSELF Wilson. It's better that he never know."
