To Kunju's Surprise, an Indian tourist, who stayed at Hotel Omavvad
Continuing his World Tour Kunju catches a ride with Mr. Gore to Beirut from Damascus. They descend to the plain of Biqa between the Anti-Lebanon and Lebanon Mountains, home of Baalbeck where Alexander the Great made settlement, where the six columns of the temple of Jupiter Hadad can be seen from a distance. Traveling toward Tripoli they came to Bisharra. Continuing to Beirut they stopped at the gigantic underground lake Jeita, and ending this issue in Beirut.

Deep inthe Jungle a small plane crashes
Surviving the crash with a broken ankle, the pilot James is found and taken to a hospital with delirium. He thought he saw someone sacrificed to a plant by the Massau natives. Mead organizes a safari to check it out and is followed by the writer Maggy Bell. The Phantom spots the safari and sends a native to inquire. The guides didn't know that the destination was the Massau Badlands, and they desert in the night. Now responsible for Ms Bell, Mead decides to return only to be caught by the Massau, who are using the plant to extort their neighbors. The Phantom discovers it is fake and wrecks it.
