Synopsis:
The First Line takes on Nocturne, who is using an alchem-techno virus to alter the structure of the buildings of New York City, starting with the top floors of the Baxter Building. Meanwhile, a man finds a crashed rocketship and a threat of a Skrull invasion, but no one believes him until Ben Grimm directs him to Reed Richards. Elsewhere, deep in the Himalayas, a female Skrull spy befriends the outcast Yeti.

This issue, featuring the First Line's battle with Nocturne at the Baxter Building, takes place in the mid 1980s.
The alien invasion plotline is based on the story told in Amazing Adult Fantasy (Marvel, 1961 series) titled "Why Don't They Believe Me?" by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. It was also retold in Silver Surfer (Marvel, 1968 series) #3 as a "Tales of the Watcher" story by Stan Lee and Gene Colan.
First appearance of Dr. Mime and Rapunzel.
Black Fox and Gadfly only appear in their civilian identities in this story.
