An interview accompanied by three cartoons and fourteen of his newspaper strips. Eleven of the strips are from the daily Calvin & Hobbes strips while one is from the Sunday strip. Mostly from 1986. Also included is a sample of one of his early "Critters" strips and a 1980 editorial cartoon from the Cincinnati Post. The two other cartoons are likely previously unpublished. One is a self-portrait captioned "How it's done- the fascinating process revealed" and the other is of Calvin & Hobbes captioned "Comic strips should be treated as a serious art form, argues Watterson."
