Knowledge is power.
Justice begins to have dreams of his past life, making him question his memories and seeks aid from Nightmask in Washington, DC. Darquill sends Rebecca Chambers back to reality to assassinate Justice. Teddy Remsen, is able to stop Becky and, when Becky tries to shoot Teddy, Justice awakens from his dream and uses his shield power to protect Teddy. Becky is fatally wounded by the ricocheting bullets fired from the gun. Justice ends her suffering by breaking her neck. Stuck in Darquill's "Far Side" dream reality, Nightmask is captured and blasted by Darquill out of the "Far Side". In reality, Justice and Teddy see Keith Remsen's sleeping body disappear. Darquill opens a portal to send more of his agents, but Justice is able to vault through the opening into the "Far Side". Justice kills Damon Conquest, but Darquill blasts Justice back to reality. Justice returns to reality outside of Darquill's estate in Baja alongside Nightmask. The duo learn that Darquill is a paranormal who is able to create and bend reality through his dreams. Justice kills the sleeping Darquill, terminating the "Far Side" dream reality, and restoring Justice to his true appearance as John Tensen, a Justice Department narcotics agent sent to infiltrate Darquill's drug cartel.
