Spurs Jackson and Strong Bow go on a mission to investigate explosions seen on the moon, leaving Hank Roper to meet a group of costumed science fiction fans invited by Spurs for a nearby local convention. Expecting the fans to show up in costume and an airplane mocked-up to appear like a rocket ship, Hank is surprised when a real alien from Neptune named Jawa shows up instead.
