A Kryptonian newsman discovers that Fel-Kar, a member of the Science Council, knows that Jor-El is conducting illegal experiments in space exploration, but doesn't understand why Fel-Kar has failed to take any action. Only when he sees Fel-Kar trying to escape Krypton's death throes in Jor-El's unfinished full-size rocket, not the model rocket used to send Kal-El to Earth, does the newsman understands Fel-Kar's plan. So the newsman prevents Fel-Kar from getting to Jor-El's model rocket and files a final article no one will ever read exposing the corrupt official.
