As they are fighting Lazaer reveals that Phaedra still has a piece of Wolverine's soul and has bound it into Shogun. Wolverine once more fights and manages to take Lazaer's sword and slices Shogun into pieces. He then offers a deal: he will kill Phaedra if Lazaer puts his soul back together. Lazaer agrees but only on the condition that Wolverine loses his eternal soul. After Wolverine fights his way out we see Lord Yashida stand up again.
