The Kents are marked for death - and Clark Kent is among them!
People named Kent are being killed or shot at during the present day. Superman travels into the past of 1878, 1824 and 1779 to meet descendants of his foster father, Silas Kent, and try to uncover answers to an apparent blood feud between the Kent and Dorgan families. The answer lies in 1779, when Ely Kent is given a promisory note by General George Washington, for $2,000 at compound interest. Superman exposes the would-be assassin, and Clark, as the most legitimate heir, returns the note to the US Government.
