After the nuclear war of 2015, mankind was facing extinction, so scientists created a process similar to cloning with the 'dupes' having microchips in their brains to simulate intelligence. Now (in 2090), dupes are being murdered for their microchips in New York City (now called Neon City). Johnny and his partners, Cynthia and Max, investigate the murders.
