Among slaves forced to build the Great Wall of China, the guards find Ling-Piao, who looks like Shi-Kai. The Governor Tao-Min uses Ling-Piao to impersonate Shi-Kai and destroy his reputation. Ling-Piao is trained in unarmed combat and sent with armed soldiers to pillage villages. Shi-Kai discovers the game and pursues Ling-Piao to the Governor's palace. The pair fight, moving progressively out of the Governor's rooms until Ling-Piao dies in full public view, with the truth revealed.

Tebeosfera reports the artist as Amador Garcia. The art does not look like the work of the same artist as the second (signed) Shi-Kai story in this issue. Other artists known to have worked on the series are César López, Santiago Martin Salvador, Leopoldo Ortiz Moya, José Cardona Blasi and Luis Bermejo.

While the Crow is attempting a holiday visiting his old friend and fellow-student Lin-Sao in Macao, Jeremy Stockton offers the Crow half a million dollars to return his son from kidnappers who want a two-million-dollar ransom within twenty-four hours. A clue of a poisoned dart leads the Crow to a jungle tribe, where he discovers that there was not kidnapping and Stockton's son is attempting to defraud his father.

The old man had formed the group to defend themselves from slavery, but his colleagues had become gangsters. Blake helps the pair to Stoke City and to catch a stage coach to Rio Grand.

When Chao Hsi reports where the Governor is hiding taxes forced from the poor, Shi-Kai sets out with Mongo to recover the treasure. But Governor Ling-Piao has set a trap and his guards being trained in expert fighting techniques. Shi-Kai and Mongo are imprisoned in a rapidly flooded pit. Against She-Kai's orders, his men follow and enter the governor's stronghold, in time to see Shi-Kai use his training in a tremendous jump to escape the trap. The governor escapes and Shi-Kai's rebels leave with their lives, but no treasure.

Blake guides his prisoner, a Tong boss's son, to Tombstone, but falls asleep exhausted. Kioto is fatally injured escaping and Blake is emprisoned for the death. Two Tong members learn what has happened and resolve to kill Blake. A jury acquits Blake, but he resigns from the Pinkerton Agency to escape the violence. The sheriff warns that the Tong will not let that happen, having killed the son of Li-Chang. Emphaising the point, the Tong members attack unsuccessfully. Blake is unswayed from his decision. The Tong members report to Li-Chang, who swears to kill Blake.

This series has been reported as scripted by Carlos Echevarria, Enrique Sanchez Abulí (possibly Amaika's issue #9 only) and F. Enriquez (possibly later episodes, also an artist). This story follows directly from the story in Amaika's Kung Fu #9, reprinted in Australia as 'Only the Desert Knows' in Super Giant Album (K. G. Murray, 1976 series) #23.

Five years ago, in 1971, Sato escaped from Arkansas Federal Penitentiary. Now, The Crow is arrested in Hong Kong and accused of stealing the 'Rainbow' Sapphire. He arranges to meet the gem's owner, Duggan, and return it for $100,000. On the first attempt, only Duggan's lawyer Maxwell arrives. On the second attempt, at a more deserted location, Maxwell reveals Duggan does not exist and that he is actually Sato. The Crow reveals the theft was a trap and captures Sato, but loses the gem in the ocean.

The narration at the start of this story states The Crow "doesn't know why he has been arrested", but he is soon revealed as having stolen the Sapphire as part of a deliberate plan with the police to trap Sato.
