Mickey volunteers to help Goofy clean out his attic but in the process, Goofy falls and hits his head. The bump on the noggin causes him to believe he is his great uncle Jeremiah Van der Goof, a noted bare-knuckles prize fighter from the turn of the century. In the short span of ninety days, Goofy the Battler fights his way to a world championship bout.

The first two pages of games and puzzles include "What Am I?" (connect-the-dots) and "Mobil Sighto Game." These are followed by four pages advertising a contest in which two adults and two children can win a seven day vacation trip to Disneyland, plus $1000. Following the four contest pages are another two pages of games, "Road Code Quiz," "Seven Cats" and "Think of a Name." These eight pages are in the center of the book, between the first and second halves of the story.
