Near Roble Viejo, Ringo saves Georgie Perez from drowning. Soon after, the boy is kidnapped and Ringo goes to the rescue with his father, Diego Perez. It's a scheme to trap Ringo, organised by a group of revolutionaries led by Walt Perez to gain respect. Georgie sets Ringo free, but the boy is bitten by a scorpion as they escape. Walt must give up his freedom to seek help, but ultimately Ringo argues his case to the sheriff.

On a stage coach, Sunday meets Zelda Gardner and an old army colleague, "Swift" Slade, who is seeking revenge against McIver for stealing his wife. McIver controls the town and Slade is killed soon after he arrives, with witnesses swearing it was self-defense. Sunday and Zelda have seen too much and McIver orders them killed, but Sunday gets Zelda to a safe location. Sunday goes to bring McIver to justice, but saves his life when Pearl Slade seeks revenge. McIver allows Sunday to leave with Pearl and after making sure she is safe, Sunday returns to Zelda.

On the orders of the Emperor Maximilian, Captain Karl is transferring a treasure from Mexico to Austria. Tony plots to steal the treasure, but first imprisons Ringo so he can’t interfere. Ringo escapes and follows to finds a second group of Mexicans have captured Tony’s group and the treasure chests. But Ringo had learned Captain Karl’s chests are a decoy full of sand, with the real treasure transferred by sea.
