Jake Martell, the Canadian climber sent with him, is actually a German agent who knocks out White and kills their pilot. White manages to bale out and, after a fight with the German, manages to retrieve the film.

In 1462, the pirate captain Mario Zagari, in his 24-gun ship "Santa Maria" was sweeping all before him off the coast of Italy.
Emilio is told to welcome the Santa Maria to Naples with a rocket display but the wind takes some rockets into the ship's sails setting them alight. Zagari captures Emilio and hangs him. Joanes vows revenge and, with the help of Ricardo, builds a rocket craft holding two "special" rockets which he fires at the Santa Maria causing it's powder magazine to explode destroying the ship and killing all aboard.
