Booster tries to get a group of non-natives to safety, but runs straight into the Emerald Empress. Booster lets the Emerald Eye of Nekron chase him into the paths of the Daxamites' heat vision, then returns to the present with the artifact and the sole survivor of the Empress' rage.

Mister Miracle boom tubes Booster Gold, Skeets, and Big Barda away from the Darkstars' justice and back to Earth. She allows the Darkstars to take the heroes to Starlag where they meet Vril Dox. Booster realizes that they have arrived just before the alien invasion that led to Dox's founding of L.E.G.I.O.N. But it is someone named Estrogina, not Dox, who announces that she will lead whoever wants to join her in a prison break.
