With Booster missing and reports of heroes coming back to life as Black Lanterns, Rip sends Skeets to see if Blue Beetle has any information on the whereabouts of Booster. Booster, however, is actually in the past, re-visiting the funeral of Ted Kord. Skeets and Blue Beetle’s search for Booster takes them to Booster’s relative Daniel, but they are interrupted by Black Lantern Blue Beetle. Daniel quickly changes into his Supernova outfit, but the Black Lantern is much more powerful than Daniel, and has him up against a wall when Booster arrives, having returned from his trip to the past.

With it, they separate Ted's body from the ring and take it to Vanishing Point for final rest. Elsewhere, and several years in the past, Michelle Carter heads to Coast City

Rip detects another disturbance in the timestream centered on Coast City right before its destruction -- which happens to be where and when Michelle is encountering the Cyborg Superman. Theorizing that the earlier attempt to prevent Hank Henshaw from becoming the Cyborg Superman by another time traveler was really an attempt to save Coast City, and that that time traveler could be the cause of the new disturbance, Booster heads there. He finds the time traveler, Sondra Crain, and she tries to convince Booster to help her stop Henshaw, but they may be too late.
