A new kind of crime wave sweeps Metropolis!
A number of patchwork-colored spheres appear above the streets of Metropolis and proceed to rob a bank. Clark sees the report on the teletype and flies over to investigate, but finds no trace of them within a hundred miles. Apparently the only thing missing from the bank is pennies. Eventually the spheres are discovered to be extra-terrestrial in origin and their plan is to steal radium in order to produce rocket fuel.

Colonel Tommy Tomorrow; Captain Brent Wood; Dr. Graham Landon
One century from now, we will take space travel for granted.
Dr. Graham Landon preaches space isolationism and invents a machine which nullifies the atomic motors of spaceships, and thus prevent interaction with other worlds. Tommy and Brent manage to reverse the effects, and inter-planetary travel is resumed. They visit Landon with an official directive to confiscate anything in his home - walls, food, shoes, televisor devices - that is not solely of Earth origin. He finally admits the error of his views

Keith Chandler: The art appears not to be by regular Bob Brown. There are a number of pencilling possibilities, including Curt Swan, who drew the Tommy Tomorrow story in this issue. But the layouts are very dynamic and no more definitive identification can be made.
