The crab-creatures of Cancrius II come back to try to take over the earth and begin by taking control of Colossus again. Bob O'Bryan, a scenery designer, comes up with the idea of creating a plaster of paris creature to trick the crab-creatures into taking over. When the crab-creatures foolishly take it over Bob blows it up, destroying them.

Narrated in the first person. The Colossus last appeared in "I Created the Colossus!" from Tales of Suspense (Marvel, 1959 series) #14 (February 1961) which was reprinted in Monsters on the Prowl (Marvel, 1971 series) #17 (March 1972).

Per George Olshevsky's Marvel Comics Index #7B two panels are reprinted in Astonishing Tales (Marvel, 1970 series) #24 (It, The Living Colossus) most with alterations of some kind. Page 5; panel 3 is reprinted on page 10; panel 1 of Astonishing Tales #24 and page 13; panel 4 is reprinted on page 10; panel 2.

When an old man cries out that he sees a monster it submerges before the townspeople can see it. Ivan Von Gent, the famous scientist, is with the townspeople and he vows to figure out how the old man can see the creature but no one else can. He figures out how to make it where he can see the creature and it works. He sees the creature and cries out but it submerges immediately. The old man that used to cry out when it came can now go home and rest because Ivan Von Gent is now "The One who watches"!

Pete Norris is a con who is about to get the chair for the murders he committed. When he hears that the prison may flood he decides to try to escape. He makes it into a room where he is trapped with water leaking in. He decides it is better to try to stop the leak but when he sticks his finger in the hole he is electrocuted because the hole was an electric socket.
