Synopsis: Songbird Ella Bly sings the tragic "Ballad of Franky and Johnny". Johnny conspires with Candi Lovelace to kill Spats Katz. Johnny then double-crosses Candi and tries to have her killed as well. Then Johnny gets a phone call from a woman (Ella Bly) who tells him that Franky is with her. When Johnny arrives to kill Franky, Ella has a change of heart and helps Franky escape.
