First Line: There were only two men in Christine's life -- the man she still loved with all her heart -- and the man she had married!
Synopsis: Christine's first and only love had been Patrick, an Irishman who had left her with memories and a book of poems. A year after he left, Christine married Lynton and has been trapped in a loveless marriage for three years. Now a wealthy man after seeing the world, Patrick returns and asks Christine to marry him, but she has to tell him she is married. Patrick intends to stop seeing her, but his business dealings with her husband force them to meet again. In financial difficulties, Lynton tries to use her to get out of trouble.
