Namnet kom från Albert L. Kanters son. Kanter var den som startade Classics Illustrated i USA. 1969 köptes Centerförlaget upp. Williams blev i sin tur uppköpt av Semic Press AB 1975-1976.

ENGLISH:
As a result of a controversy over the publication of Classics Illustrated in Sweden, the publisher Illustrerade Klassiker was reorganized into Williams Förlag AB. The name came from Albert L. Kanter's son, William E. Kanter (born 29 May 1923). Albert Kanter founded Classics Illustrated in the USA.

In 1969, Centerförlaget was acquired.

Williams was in turn acquired by Semic Press in 1975-1976.   Does this data need corrections? Become an editor.
