Henry John Edwards was born in Victoria in 1913. He worked as business manager for K. G. Murray before forming his own company, initially in partnership as Peter Huston Publishing (1944-1947) and subsequently as H John Edwards Co. Pty. Ltd (1947-195-?). The line included original Australian material and reprints of US Archie, Fiction House and Standard comics. Indicia publishers listed in the comics include Action Comics Pty. Ltd. and Popular Publications Pty. Ltd. Furthermore, Leisure Productions is an early name for H. John Edward's publishing company.
