Space Ace {Comic Books}
Note: SPACE ACE continues from the UK Atlas western series, "Lone Star". All issues in this series have the cover title "Space Ace Guardian of the Universe". Early issues of this series (1 to 13?) include SPACE ACE stories by UK artist Ron Turner; later issues (14? to 33) have art and scripts from Spain's Selecciones Ilustradas (SI) agency. SI provided significant comic artwork work on commission for the UK market, with scripts provided from UK companies (similar to their method of operation with US publisher Warren). Stories in this series, however, were part of its 'syndicated' work. The features were prepared in advance by SI and sold to numerous markets throughout the world. The later Selecciones Ilustradas SPACE ACE stories are rebranded JOHNNY GALAXIA/JOHNNY GALAXY stories, translated and often significantly rescripted.
