Contemporary Pictorial Literature {Comic Books}
Note: When Bob Layton began publishing this series, it was essentially Layton's sales catalog. With issue #5, it turned into a small fanzine with a catalog insert. The later issues featured a mixture of articles, columns, interviews, pin-up art, and comic strips. Issue #7 featured the first published image of John Byrne's ROG 2000. Issue #11 featured the first full story of ROG 2000. Issues #9 and 10 were combined to form a one-shot entitled "CPL Special Double Issue #9 & 10... Presents the Charlton Portfolio" (which has a separate series entry in the GCD). The final issue was #12, published in 1975.
