Note: Promotional/giveaway comic books which carried imprints of various baking companies on the cover, including: Donaldson, Friedrichs', Krug, Mrs. Conklings, Rice's, Sterling, with other issues left unassociated (blank). There was also a Peter Wheat news, several fun books and a coloring book of this character. Note: Comic book publications in one-tier format. At least 9 different issues in this small format are known to exist. Bell Bakeries is the only known distributor of the issues in this format; they are not known to have distributed any of the other Peter Wheat books.

Note: Exact last issue number is uncertain. "Peter Wheat News" was a monthly publication, consisting of a sheet of paper folded into a four page flyer. The first two pages consisted of a front page and one page of recipes, news from and advertisements for the Peter Wheat bakery chain. The last two pages were intended to be cut out and could be folded into a four page 5 1/2" x 7 3/8" "Adventures of Peter Wheat" comic book. Issue number can be found solely on the original front cover, meaning that copies handled as originally intended are hard to identify, unless a copy with front cover can be found.
