From 1949 to 1953, The Land Newspaper printed a range of comics based on material from UK company, Amalgamated Press. The actual publisher is not printed in the comics and they are routinely attributed to the listed printer, The Land Newspaper, which also printed many comics for other Australian publishing companies. It is possible that The Land Newspaper printed the comics on behalf of Amalgamated Press. Some stories in these comics are first printings, although most were subsequently printed in the UK. The Land Newspaper is still in publication, although ownership of the company has changed.

Buck Jones Cowboy Comics {Comic Books}
Note: At this time, the companion series Kit Carson Cowboy Comics (The Land Newspaper, 1949 series) became an anthology series Cowboy Comics from issue #38, with rotating characters. Buck Jones featured in #39, #41 and #43. These issues are identical in format to this Buck Jones series and make it look like there should be other Buck Jones issues. There were no Buck Jones Cowboy Comics #38, #40 or #42 published, though.

There is no Australian pocket-size series and this could refer to import editions of UK Cowboy Comics by Amalgamated Press.
