Disclose Notes: This cover represents an emerging style of variant cover offerings, heretofore only seen in comic collecting with the Ant-Man (Marvel, 2015 series) #1 Shrinking variant. To commemorate the re-launch of the Howard the Duck comic following his appearance in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, Marvel conceived a variant cover that features varied and different sized Howard images on every copy. It is claimed that Marvel had to utilize cutting edge technologies to achieve this feat. The end result is that every cover of this variant is completely unique from every other one and each copy is individually numbered on the back cover. Printing was limited to advance orders. No reliable data exists about the number of copies produced but the secondary market supports the notion that the number hovers around 12,000 copies.
