Synopsis: Mabel Hubbard quedó sorda a la edad de 4 años tras padecer de escarlatina, sin embargo gracias a la ayuda del Dr. How, la pequeña Mabel logró conservar el habla aunque bastante desafinada. Logró corregir este defecto varios años después en la escuela para sordos de Alejandro Graham Bell de quien se enamoró y llegó a casarse en 1877. Durante su noviazgo y matrimonio ella siempre dio fuerzas y ánimo a su esposo para que sea constante en sus inventos.
