At the end of this issue, we see Orm with Erin Shaw, whom he rescued after escaping from Belle Reve in Aquaman #23.2. Nereus finds Orm and tells him that he knows the locations of the lost kingdoms of Atlantis and he wants himself and Orm to take their places with the others of the seven kings in order to rule the world. The blurb at the end of the issue says that the story will be concluded in the epic Justice League story event "Rise of the Seven Seas!" That storyline has yet to be published. When Nereus and Orm next meet in Mera: Queen of Atlantis (DC, 2018 series), there is no mention of their meeting at the end of this issue.
