What is happening here??
Four shape-changing Skrulls pose as the Fantastic Four and act as criminals while the true ones are in the country and recall their origin. The real FF are imprisoned by the government. They escape and decide to flush out the imitating Skrulls. The FF infiltrate the Skrull mothership and pose as the Skrull spies. Mr. Fantastic uses clippings from Strange Tales and Journey Into Mystery to trick the Skrulls into thinking that the Earth forces are too strong to attack. The four Skrull spies are captured, forced to take on the form of cows and then hypnotized to forget all of their former lives.

The Miracle Man performs his supervillain debut at his magic show by humiliating the Thing. The Miracle Man declares war on humanity and animates a movie monster statue. The Human Torch torches the animated Monster from Mars-statue and the Invisible Girl stowes away on the atomic tank that the Miracle Man has stolen. The Thing recalls the origin of the Fantastic Four while the Invisible Girl is taken prisoner by the Miracle Man. The Miracle Man is defeated, but at the cost of the Human Torch leaving the Fantastic Four.

Doctor Doom takes the Invisible Girl hostage to insure her teammates' obedience. Doctor Doom brings the FF to his castle stronghold in the USA. There he sends the Torch, the Thing and Mr. Fantastic back in time to retrieve the pirate Blackbeard's treasure. The Thing takes command of a sailing ship in the era of the pirate Blackbeard. The Thing takes on the role of Blackbeard the pirate and wishes to remain in the past. Doom tries to kill the FF when they return from the past, but the Invisible Girl saves them. Doom escapes with his jetpack.

It's the Human Torch!
Doctor Doom presents himself to the Sub-Mariner and offers him an alliance against the Fantastic Four and all mankind. Dr. Doom gives a "Grabber" to the Sub-Mariner and the Human Torch discovers that the Invisible Girl hides a photo of the Sub-Mariner in a book. The Sub-Mariner plants the "Grabber" in the Baxter Building and it is lifted into space by Doctor Doom. The Baxter Building is set on a collision course with the Sun and the Sub-Mariner discovers that Doctor Doom has betrayed him. Doctor Doom is flung out into space and the Baxter Building is returned to its foundation.

The Thing! I didn't expect him back so soon!
The Puppet Master tests his radioactive clay to remotely control people modeled in the clay. He gets the Thing under his command and imprisons the Invisible Girl. He then sends the Thing and Alicia to infiltrate the Baxter Building. The Thing is subjected to one of Mister Fantastic's potions that changes him back to Ben Grimm. The Puppet Master stages a jailbreak to prove his might. The Invisible Girl sends a distress signal to her teammates and the Puppet Master flees when meeting the Fantastic Four. They stop the jailbreak and the Puppet Master falls to his seeming death.

Don't move, Sue!
Doctor Doom returns from his unwanted journey in space and visits Jack Kirby and Stan Lee in order to make them set a trap for the Fantastic Four. Doctor Doom tells how he managed to return to Earth with the help of the Ovoids and then he changes bodies with Mr Fantastic using Ovoid technology. Doctor Doom convinces the rest of the team he is Mr Fantastic and displays his new shrinking-ray while Mr. Fantastic (in Doom's body) escapes from Doom's castle. Doctor Doom and Mr. Fantastic get their bodies back and Doom is put under his own shrinking-ray and shrinks down to sub-atomic size.

Karl Kort brings Rick in caves where the Hulk and the Fantastic Four are searching for him.

Twilight in New York!
While Reed prepares a journey to the Blue Area of the Moon, Ivan Kragoff trains three apes to pilot a spaceship and take possession of the Moon "for the communist empire". The Watcher appears and explains where he comes from and why he cannot take sides in the battle between the Fantastic Four and the Red Ghost.
