Return of the Living Colossus!

Story  on  Interior Page(s)
Subject Matter
superhero
Wonder Man; Bob O'Bryan
Simon Williams is acting in a big budget film where he battles It! The Living Colossus, a huge $50 million prop built by Bob O'Bryan; the man who controlled the original Colossus until it was destroyed by the Hulk. This new Colossus is made out of steel as opposed to the original that was made out of stone. The controls get hacked by a jealous rival special effects technician who causes the robot to go on a rampage. While Wonder Man battles the robot trying his best not to damage it or he'll get fired by the studio, O'Bryan is able to regain control of the robot and shut it down.

The original Living Colossus was last seen in Incredible Hulk #244 (February 1980).

The battle between Wonder Man and the Colossus crashes numerous movie sets on the studio including both Batman (featuring Michael Keaton) and Home Alone (featuring Macaulay Culkin). Wonder Man also mentions the giant Kong prop Dino De Laurentiis had built for his 1976 remake of King Kong and mentions how the Colossus "Makes Godzilla look like a salamander".

The Colossus returns in Marvel Comics Presents #169 (Early December 1994).
