G.I. Joe
Dawn Moreno; Baroness; Zarana; G.I. Joe [Cover Girl; Lady Jaye; Scarlett; Jinx; Bombstrike]; Granny Demon [Obake Obaasan]; Silent Master [Akane]; Ellen; Cobra [Dr. Sidney Biggles-Jones; Dr. Cassandra Knox]; Jane; Claire Hauser; Shooter (flashback); Mrs. Craig
The Baroness and Zarana test Dawn's combat skills. Cover Girl returns to duty, her voice now a rasp due to her throat injury. Jinx is confronted by Akane of the Red Ninjas. Bombstrike breaks into the remains of the Red Shadows base in Olliestan and finds two Cobra scientists rebuilding it, who take her prisoner. Jane goes to see Claire only for Claire to pull a gun on her. Cover Girl and Lady Jaye visit Mrs. Craig and inform her how her daughter was actually Shooter, a member of G.I. Joe, and are finally able to share some of the true details of her death.

In the letters page of issue #230 Hama notes that while making this issue he realized all of the major players were women; he then decided to rewrite his script so that the entire cast was female as a change of pace.
Shooter's service with G.I. Joe and death appeared in G.I. Joe Declassified (Devil's Due Publishing, 2006 series) #1-3 by Larry Hama. Although IDW has not considered Devil's Due to be in-continuity with their stories (calling them "disavowed") Hama has repeatedly referenced his own Devil's Due stories in this series.
