First Line: This is where it all began.
Synopsis: The story reveals that Erica was taken from her real mother by Belinda at birth and given to Howard and Carissa to be raised until their Dark Master comes to claim her. That day comes on Erica's 18th birthday when she discovers she is a mermaid. Erica escapes them and is found by Samantha, who tries to help her. Erica trusts Samantha, but wants to contact Patrick before leaving. However, Patrick is working with the forces of the Dark Lord and helps capture Erica.
