In addition to the lack of dialogue, the only caption in this story is one at the beginning explaining the technique and asking readers to write in if they like it. Archie would do a number of silent stories from this point on, many of them drawn by Lucey.

This story is one of the most famous showcases for Harry Lucey's skill at conveying emotion and plot through body language alone. Dan Nadel, whose book "Art In Time" includes a chapter on Lucey, has singled this story out as an "extraordinary" example of Lucey's art.
