Forced to land on the shores of Kush, Conan and his Barachan pirates are imprisoned, and only Imhotep, Ravager of Worlds, can save them. Conan has had dealings with Imhotep years before, but now the demon is trapped in human form on Earth. When Imhotep and Conan are summoned to the Queen in order to satisfy her carnal needs, they both manage to escape. Imhotep promises Conan to free his men if Conan first helps him take back an amulet from the magician Hak-Heru.
