I never dreamed I'd ride down the Mississippi on a genuine, authentic paddle-wheeler!
The gang are riding down the Mississippi on the Moonglow, a paddle-wheeler bought by Mr. Hull, Fred's junior high school history teacher. "Skipper" Hull tells them he wouldn't have been able to afford the riverboat, but the Moonglow is supposed to be haunted and he could only get three men to crew: Hank, Wilson, and Paul. While Shaggy and Fred suit up as crew and Daphne and Velma don period dresses, one of the original crew informs Spider in the boiler room that the kids are staying on board. On his transistor radio Fred hears a newscast that a "gangland boss has escaped from prison."

They call Nashville, Tennessee the music capital of the world, here's the reason why...
The gang are dancing at a juke joint in Nashville, Tennessee. Scooby knocks over Don Malarkey's table, spilling coffee all over his new denim suit. Malarkey is upset at first but recognizes Scooby as a famous ghost breaker. Malarkey manages Jimmie Majeski, a famous musician/singer who has been working on a tribute album of the late Charlie Crockett's songs for charity. However, Jimmie is being haunted by the ghost of Charlie Crockett, who has warned him to scrap the record. In fact, Jimmie has already recorded the album once, but the master tapes have vanished.
