The Vault of Horror!
Mr. Lasch runs a sweatshop for seamstresses. He forces his workers to use dangerously decrepit machinery, and when something breaks, he takes it out of their salaries. Finally, he forces a old woman to the brain-numbing job of sorting out tangles of needles and thread, despite the fact her sewing machine just shattered, breaking her hand. This is just too much, and his employees get their revenge. When a fire breaks out in the shop, Mr. Lasch can't get out. His lips and hands have been sewn together, and his feet have been hobbled.

Morton has an odd hobby: he goes to funerals to admire the pageantry of it all. He only regrets he won't be able to enjoy his own funeral (what with being dead and all). The Vault of Horror!
Their relationship started well. Sandra was a sword-swallower in a circus and Alec had big dreams but no money. Eventually, Sandra's act begins making some money. But Alec now eats all the food he could never afford before and just gets fatter and fatter. To make matters worse, his gluttony is costing them all their money! So, Sandra tells Alec she's going to teach him how to sword-swallow to bring in more money. Alec manages to swallow a whole sword, but Sandra won't tell him how to remove it. She then leaves him there, warning him not to move or even belch, or things could get messy.

They deduce that the uncle must be a vampire and they hatch a plan to free the new kid from his uncle's clutches. They sneak into the house one day and find the uncle asleep, so they drive a wooden stake through his heart. Upon further investigation, they find a coffin and open it. Inside, the new kid sleeps the sleep of a vampire. Oops.

The Crypt of Terror
A group of terrified villagers are driving their horse-drawn wagon through a raging snowstorm. They are being chased by a pack of hungry wolves, which is slowly gaining on them. Each of the villagers thinks of the people waiting for them in town. Will they make it? Finally, they reach a grim conclusion. The only way to outpace the wolves is to throw somebody off the wagon to lighten the load and feed the wolves. Who will they sacrifice? We see somebody thrown off the wagon, but it's not revealed who it was.
