Blood Jihad (a group of terrorists); passengers at an air terminal; The Conglomerate [Templar; Nuklon; Hardline; Echo; Jesse Quick]; Wally Tortollini (an investigative journalist); Charlie (Wally's boss); Claire Montgomery; Murphy (a technician at Stagg Robotics); Amazo (an android); fans at a rock concert
Under corporate sponsorship, Claire Montgomery reorganizes the Conglomerate, with former members Echo and Hardline (formally known as Reverb) and new members Jesse Quick, Nuklon and Templar. The team's first battles were staged; called "training sessions" by Claire, but thought to be real menaces by the team. They are determined to fight for honor, not glory or fame, much to Claire's -and their corporate sponsors'- dismay. Their final test, however, proves very real as Amazo, an old JLA foe, is awakened and goes on a rampage.
