Inspired by a story Lois has written for the Daily Planet, Jimmy decides to go out and write a big story of his own. With a little help from Superman and the Newsboy Legion, he works hard on an article about Arclight, a super-villain who targets reporters. Unfortunately, he misses the paper's deadline and finds that Perry has given the story to someone else. Jimmy demands that Perry pull the other story and run his instead, but when his boss refuses, he quits in a huff.
